This is the first course in a series of two. This course is designed to fulfill 48
of the 96 hours of continuing education credits required for employment in the local
school system as a Teacher Assistant. This course provides a review of skills needed
for successful completion of three WorkKeys Skills Assessments: Workplace Documents,
Applied Math & Writing. This class includes skills review in the areas of reading
comprehension, math and writing. It also includes computer skills training.

This course is designed to fulfill the remaining 48 hours of the 96 hours of continuing
education credits necessary in order to become a Teacher Assistant in the local school
system. This class focuses on skills needed in the classroom such as: classroom management,
EC issues and laws, discipline, teacher preparation and communication. Registration
for this course is completed during the Pathway to Teacher Assistant course.
